10 Beauty Products You Need for Dry Skin Just in Time for Fall

Fall is here! So that could only mean two things. It’s time for jumbo scarves and warm apple cider drinks, oh yes and dry skin! Staying hydrated is a struggle,  but a scorched complexion shows it. If you’re anything like me and moisture seems to go to every part of your body except your face, you’re going to want to see this!

Origins GinZing Refreshing Cleanser

First things first, you need a cleanser! This product is formulated to be responsive to all skin types, but targets dry skin, dullness, clogged pores and uneven textures. Even though it’s a scrub it’s still gentle enough for daily use. I figure the best thing about this cleanser is the “energy boosting” factor. Since the days are getting shorter and the sun will start to hide a little more, I’m positive we–especially our skin could use a boost in energy and hydration!

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer

This moisturizer is the bomb! Gel moisturizers are specifically good for dry skin because they act as moisture barriers. I have absolutely fallen in love with this one because I don’t come out looking like a grease-ball, it’s lightweight and it has the nerve to give you a glow (cues angelic music). I don’t even have to use a lot, less than a dime sized dab. My mother got me some samples of the Origins Skincare products back in December and I’m still using some of them, but this one, I swiped it clean. I’ll definitely purchase this soon, hopefully in a much larger size. I’m also really loving the overnight version, Origins High-Potency Night-a-mins Resurfacing Cream. It’s always good to apply moisturizer at night after thoroughly washing your face. When you’re sleeping your skin gets to work it’s magic (regenerates, repairs, replaces), so it’s the best time to moisturize. The morning after I applied the Night-a-Mins, my skin felt like silk. It was smooth, I could still feel the moisture and my face still felt light and clean. This stuff works for dry skin! (I think it’s important to note that you will always get the best results when you pair products that are meant to be used together).

Caudalie Moisturizing Toner

Whenever I can get my hands on a product that does more than one thing, it’s a win! It hydrates while it balances your pH, both which contribute to “boosting the overall effectiveness of your skincare regimen”-Sephora. Who doesn’t want that, right! There’s also Grape Water, from the same brand. You can use this one as a facial mist, throughout the day as many times as you want and it generally does the same thing. Previously I’ve used the Beauty Elixir, as a refresher while I’m at work. It worked really well for me, gave me glow and and the touch of moisture I needed from being cooped up in the dusty bank all day. Needless to say, I trust the brand!

Clinique Micellar Water Makeup Remover Wipes

If I’m being completely honest, I don’t wear makeup often. I really want to focus on getting my skin together instead of just piling makeup on top of the problem When I do wear makeup,  I’m not consistent with a 13 step face cleansing regimen (I know, so terrible). Sometimes I just want to cheat the system, if you will, with some good make up remover wipes. These wipes are excellent and get just about everything off.The best part, it doesn’t dry me out and it’s gentle enough for my sometimes sensitive skin! My face feels moisturized and shockingly soft after using, score!

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

Of course you need a foundation with moisturizer! Okay, so this isn’t exactly like foundation. It’s not as heavy and is way more useful.  Not only does it hydrate while giving you a polished look, this tinted moisturizer improves discoloration, dark spots and has SPF protection. I’ve been using it for about two years and I mean, I don’t really see a need to go back to foundation. Worth (insert hand clap here) it. Use this for a night out with the girls, at work, or just when you need to run some errands and you want something to help even out that skin tone! I’ve searched a few different beauty stores for this product and they’re pretty consistent with the same pricing point.

Coconut Oil

By now I’m sure you’re aware of all the clever uses for coconut oil, including moisturizing the skin. You can use it on your face, body, hair and of course food too. Since coconut oil is popular and multifaceted, it’s widely available so you can find it just about anywhere. There’s so many different brands to chose from, but you can’t really go wrong with any of them. Why not purchase something that you can use for more than one thing? You know I love a product with multiple uses. Coconut oil is a sure thing, get some.

The Lip Bar Liquid Matte Lipstick

Founder of The Lip Bar Cosmetics, Melissa Butler, was dead on when she challenged the beauty industry by creating vegan cruelty-free products with innovative ingredients and great prices. This line of lipsticks, liquid mattes and lip gloss is long lasting, moisture filled and fabulous! Literally every stunning color you’re dying to add to your collection, this brands got it. You’re moisturizing every other part of your body this fall, add some glamour to those lips while you moisturize them too! This color is called Savage, don’t worry it’s not sold out…yet. Melissa recently scored a deal and now the line is being sold in Target! Go girl!

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

Yes, in the name of iteration, another Origins product. I can’t help it, this is such a good brand. The mask is a versatile product and helps with restoring elasticity, increasing the skins natural water reserves (which is good for consistent moisture even without products) and tightening. If you use it consistently you should see results sooner.

Origins Refreshing Eye Creme

If you know me, you know my undereye bags are like extended family. Is chronic under-eye bag syndrome a thing, if so I’m self diagnosed. No matter what I do I can’t get rid of them. Sleep, cucumbers, sleeping eye masks, cold spoons, sleep, ice, coffee grinds, coffee beans, sleep, tea bags, frozen veggies. I could go on. So maybe they’re not extended family but like a bad boyfriend that doesn’t let go. You name it, I’ve tried it twice! I’m hoping as well as all the other Origins products have worked for me, this will work too. Keep your fingers crossed for me and I’ll keep you posted!

Becca Glow Elixir Brightening Hydrator

I’ve never tried a serum before but I’ve been hearing a lot of good things. I looked around and noticed they are on the pricey side but the benefits would be worth it. Im familiar with the brand because I’m currently using Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector as a highlighter. It’s amazing, to say the least. Back to the serum! It’s designed to nourish the skin by hydrating, soothing, and even brightening. You should apply it after your moisturizer, and/or before OR after your foundation. It’s recommended to only use once a day. Currently adding it to my list!
