I really want to re-invent my style this season but still keep it very simple. I don’t get to dress up often because most of my time is spent at work and in dull clothing. On a regular day off, I’m busy running errands and working on the blog. I just want to be comfortably cute, so I look for simple ways to polish up a look if that makes any sense. This plaid blazer is incredibly comfy and I think it’s a versatile piece. I could easily get away with some cute biker shorts, a t-shirt, this blazer and a pair of ugly dad sneakers. Definitely next on my list to purchase! Plaid blazers are still a classic style to complete a plain look for the day.

As I get older, I realize that I don’t have to dress in 16 inch stiletto heels every day to be fashionable, to get dressed up, or even to be sexy. I’ve learned the most important thing about style and looking or feeling sexy, is confidence. It’s just that simple. I have the most confidence when my style is simple, comfortable and functional. If I can wear a single outfit look all day regardless of how much is going on, that’s definitely functional! Multiple wardrobe changes are just not the move (unless it’s Fashion week). My rule of thumb is, if I can dress it up, then it can be dressed down! Throw an extra pair of shoes in the backseat, a change of lipstick in your purse and light jacket for the evening. You’re all set!
