A Simple Color Combo thats Poppin’

For no apparent reason I’ve been incorporating black in to just about all of my styled looks. I wanted to perk the look up a bit but still wanted to keep it simple. When you wear black, it’s very easy to pair it with something busy like a mixed print, a bag, a pair of shoes, or even accessories. Instead, I look for ways to give the outfit personality with a subtle approach.

I wanted to focus the look on the vest of course, so I kept the secondary color simple but emphasized on detail. To give it a boost of sexiness, I opted for this multi-way crop to show depth & pulled down the shoulders. See how easy that is! The finishing touch, the fringe boot,  was perfect to show more movement along with the length of the vest.

Doing something simple like mixing the textures of your pieces is also a good way to style a popping’ outfit! Never be afraid to switch it up, but don’t always think complicated or busy is better. Sometimes, it’s the simplest touch that makes just as much of a statement.

Fun Fact:  A few years ago, I owned an online clothing store. Who didn’t right, I know! Needless to say when I closed I still had a few items left that I never sold. This crop top was one of them (In multiple sizes of course)! What do you guys think? Would you purchase this top? …Poshmark anyone?
